Doctrinal Conversations on Lutheran Cooperation Minutes, 1960- 1961.

This series contains one bound volume of minutes (1960-1961) of three doctrinal consultations on Lutheran cooperation held by the National Lutheran Council and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) on July 7-9, 1960 at Chicago, Illinois; November 18-19, 1960 at St. Louis, Missouri; and on October 31, 1961 at Chicago, Illinois. Other meetings include a gathering of LCMS and NLC theologians to discuss Lutheran cooperation (August 1-2, 1961) and a meeting of the Steering Committee of the representatives of the NLC and LCMS (September 6, 1961), both held in Chicago, Illinois. Minutes contain a listing of participants at each. Meeting and detailed discussion of the doctrinal issues and papers in which the individual meeting was devoted. Also included are study outlines and statements by NLC and LCMS members as well as correspondence which was sent with minutes to participants and NLC Executive Committee members by NLC Executive Director Paul C. Empie and staff.
